Parent volunteers directly support the Louisville Youth Orchestra through forward-facing and "behind the scenes" activities during rehearsals, performances, and sponsored trips. All parents of LYO students are welcome and eligible to help and we need volunteer time from each LYO family. If your information was included in audition registration, you will also be contacted to see which volunteer event(s) you are available, but we encourage you to reach out to the LYO office at info@lyo.org for more information.

We often need help with setting up and taking down chairs and stands. For most performances, we need ticket sellers, ticket takers, ushers, and merchandise sellers. We also need chaperones for various events.
