Full Time Position
The Executive Director assumes responsibility for the management of all human and financial resources needed to achieve the youth orchestra’s mission. To that end, the executive director is accountable for all aspects of the organization and for implementing policies set by the board of directors. As the public face of the organization, the executive director is responsible for presenting positive images to young musicians, parents, donors, and members of the community regarding programs and the youth orchestra’s role in music education.
The preferred candidate will have:
a minimum of five years of experience in non-profit arts management
a record of demonstrated organizational, community and industry leadership
a willingness to work flexible hours as required by weekend rehearsals, performance schedules, auditions, etc., and
the ability to collaborate with artistic and administrative staff, board and community members.
Experience in youth arts is a plus.
