INTERIM AUDITIONS
Even though open auditions have ended for the current season, you can still schedule an interim audition. Join us and be part of this exciting season of learning and performing. You will play a wide variety of music and meet new friends who share your enthusiasm for music! The LYO includes 8 ensembles that serve a wide range of skill levels from beginner to advanced and nearly everything in between.
Only 2 steps are needed to audition:
1 – select two excerpts from the LYO audition choices below
2 – register and pay for your audition (click button below)
Upon receipt of your registration, we will contact you to schedule an appointment for your audition. Appointments will usually be during our regular rehearsal times on Sunday afternoons at either the Youth Performing Arts Center or the St. Matthews Pavilion.
LYO acceptance rates are high and the sooner you register ... the sooner we can welcome you to the LYO. Auditions are essential for placement in the appropriate ensemble and all returning LYO students audition each year. Learn more about the LYO.

STEP 2 - Submit Audition Registration Form
The interim audition fee is $50. Please let us know if the fee is preventing you from auditioning.

Our students represented more than 80 schools from 16 counties in Kentucky and southern Indiana.
About 25% of our students received LYO scholarships toward the cost of membership and/or private lessons.
