SPONSORSHIPS
The Louisville Youth Orchestra offers an extraordinary opportunity for young musicians in our community. Members receive approximately 100 hours of rehearsal with professional conductors, inspiring performance opportunities, and innovative programs. The cost of providing these opportunities averages approximately $1,400 per member each year.
The LYO strives, however, to keep membership fees as affordable as possible. Membership in the core programs is $550 per year with discounts for families with more than one member and with scholarships to make membership possible for those without financial means.
So where does the remaining money come from? Major support is provided by the Fund for the Arts, the Kentucky Arts Council, special grants, and generous contributors. It's easy to see that programming would not be possible without this additional support.

How can I help?
Sponsorships are an ideal ways to help the LYO maintain its mission:
Family Sponsorship Program
Each Fall, families and community sponsors help cover exceptional costs of the season such as sheet music, rental of appropriate venues,and critical operating costs. This additional support goes a long way in helping keep the LYO economically viable and able to deliver extraordinary musical experiences.. Your tax-deductible contribution of $250 or $500 goes directly toward providing a remarkable musical experience for our members.
Scholarship Program
We strive to break down barriers to participation and our scholarships have become extremely effective in helping students afford their membership fees and private music lessons. Each season, 20-25% of our members receive these need-based scholarships that make their membership a reality. To contribute to the LYO scholarship fund, simply designate your gift as intended for scholarships.
