Audition Process 2021-22

Only two steps are needed to audition: 1-Submit Audition Form and 2-Pay Audition Fee(s). If you are accepted to play in an LYO ensemble there is one additional step:  3-Pay Membership fee.  Everything you need is on this page but if you have any questions please contact us at auditions@lyo.org

STEP 1 - Submit Audition Form

Complete and submit the 2021-22 Audition Form below.  You will receive an Email confirmation.

NOTE:  Once you begin filling out the form, your entries will be saved between sessions on the same computer.  Do not submit the form until it is complete and your fee is paid.

Scholarship Requests
   
If you wish to apply for scholarship aid, you must complete and submit a Scholarship Form to the Louisville Youth Orchestra office by September 27, 2021. Limited scholarship funds are available for membership fees and private music instruction. 

Agreement & Acceptance


As a member, please agree to be faithful in attendance and to adhere to all rules and regulations.

 

As a guardian, please agree to support the LYO policies.

Audition Fee should be paid when Audition Form is submitted.

There are two options available for paying your audition fee(s).  Credit card payment is preferred but you can also mail a check:

Audition  Fees

 

Audition Fee is $50 on or after September 14, 2020.

 

Prior to your audition, your application must be completed and your audition fee paid.

Step 3 - Pay Membership Fees

Once you have been notified about possible placement in one of LYO's ensembles please pay your membership fees.  There are two options available:

Please note that a 5% convenience charge is added to membership fees paid by credit card.

Membership Fees

 

Membership fees for returning members will remain the same as last year - $495 - to help offset the early cancellation of the season.  New member fee is $520.

 

Membership fees are due and payable upon acceptance into the LYO unless you are applying for a scholarship.

 

A late fee of $50 will be added to your membership costs if not paid in full by Sunday, October 4, 2020.

(Scholarship applicants are exempt until awards are determined.)
