LYO Members Play for Martin Luther King Concert

Three members of the LYO Symphony orchestra are members of a string quartet that played for the Martin Luther King Concert on January 17, 2010 at St. Stephens Church.  The quartet includes:

Chris Robinson, violin
Johnny Lusardi, violin
Jalen Lee, viola
Jack Peterson, cello

Chris, Johnny, and Jalen are members of LYO Symphony Orchestra.  Jack is not in the LYO, but he is a regular member of their quartet.  They performed the first movement of Mozart String Quartet in C Major, K. 157.  The performance was to celebrate the life and work of Martin Luther King, Jr. and included a premiere of a piece by Harry Pickens as well.  The LYO was proud to take part in the event.  Mayor Abramson also presented the city's annual Freedom Award.
