ALUMNI UPDATES:

Mary Curtis Taylor was Concertmaster with the Louisville Youth Orchestra during its during its very first year.  (She was kind enough to share a picture from The Courier Journal that included her with other musicians preparing for the first summer concert and a copy of her certificate from the Summer Youth Orchestra of the Louisville Academy of Music as it was first known.)  Ms. Taylor subsequently played for ten years with the Louisville Orchestra and twenty-five years with Nashville Symphony.  In 1997 she helped found the Conroe Symphony Orchestra in Conroe Texas and is currently the Concertmaster.  She also plays with The Symphony of Southeast Texas in Beaumont and the Brazos Valley Symphony in College Station.  The LYO is proud to have such an accomplished alumna and congratulates her on all her achievements.
