Great Stories Through Music

Middle School Educational Concert

March 24, 2014 / Brown Theater / 10:30 am

Come join the LYO Symphony Orchestra as we take you on an exciting journey through music!  Performing great pieces by Dvořák and Elgar, we will be exploring how composers try to capture the stories of their lives through notes on a page.  What decisions do they get to make?  What elements of the music can they change to tell their version of the story?  What interesting stories do they have to tell?  What can music say to us that spoken or written words cannot?  You are invited to see and hear firsthand, as the Louisville Youth Orchestra presents what’s sure to be a thrilling performance!  Don’t miss it!
